Pararge aegeria Brian Onley komt na jaren van onderzoek met een alternatieve kijk op de oorsprong van de mens en diens evolutie, welke tegen de geaccepteerde meningen van de gevestigde wetenschappen ingaat. Met “The Book of Man” werpt hij een nieuw licht op informatie die oftewel vergeten is of, wat erger is, doelbewust verborgen is gehouden. De verzamelde kennis is enorm en zijn historie begint miljoenen jaren geleden en ver weg van deze planeet.
Hoewel sommigen deze verhalen bijna als sciencefiction zien, wordt het ondersteund door wetenschappelijke feiten en is het verbonden met historische precedenten. Technisch gezien is het verhaal geen sciencefiction, maar eerder een historisch verslag, een verslag dat nooit eerder in één keer is samengesteld of verteld. Het is werkelijk overal de eerste in zijn soort en staat als zodanig alleen in de wereld van alternatieve historische informatie.
